Explanation of 2nd Semester Grades:
The students' 2nd semester grade is a combination of 3 grades:
1. Proficiency with Power Point and Slide Shark online presentation
2. Actual Power Point on Science Friday topic of their choice...rubric on the right hand menu
Rubrics

Rubrics for Assignments in 2nd Semester:

1. Power Point
Using the Science Friday site choose one topic for further research. Compose a Power Point presentation consisting of the following:
-10 slides
-Opening slide is title with your name
-one video link to a video from your research
-one embedded video from your research
-Minimum of 3 pictures
-Link to an audio file about your topic
-Minimum of 6 sources listed on your last slide
-Text should be readable
-Fonts, colors, borders and Layout should make for an interesting presentation

450/500 pts for presentation that contained all of the above

480/500  presentation contains all the above and student has gone beyond the minimum with video, format and content

500/500 presentation is exceptional in content, appearance, and multimedia content

430/500 presentation does not meet minimum requirements

3. Keyboarding 25 wpm with 100% accuracy
